one girl wrote to her folks, "we look

Busy days nud nights they are, with
these American lussles In the British
hospitals just back of the Hues lu
Flanders, and vastly Interesting, too.
"I am too tired this morning, nfter
twelve hours of night duty, to write
much," says n recent letter. "It has
been unusually cold, and nearly the
whole night I went from patient to
patient, removing bandages 'and rub
bing cold feet nnd legs with hot oil.
The lob wears 1110 out, but the poor
bids "are so "utterly "grateful for tlio
service that I feel well repaid."

battalion doctor looking over the men;
giving one with a sprained ankle 'med

ing bis lifeless body In the bathhouse.
"I've been ncross in bonnle Scotland
and wntched the mothers of lads who
will never return (locking around tlic
