This action followed the passing
of an ordinance licensing the busi
ness of conducting a rooming house.
Such an ordinance was found neces
sary In order to get rid of a cer
tain class of business that Is not
considered desirable In any well re
gulated community.
Dance halls came In for consider
ation and the Zuber hall, which has
been used for dancing was refused
license for further operation.

streets were ordered Increased 25
cents a day by the commission.
