M. C. A. of the United States has
asked for $.'!5,000,000, and has laid
a network of machinery, surpassed
neither by the Liberty Loan or Red
Cross drives as to perfection, and for
reaching influence.
Union County Allotted.
It has been decreed that Union
county must raise $5000; the powers
directing the National drive have or
dered that Union county perfect an
organization that will get results, and
this has been done.
Drive is A Joint One.
In several instances, in Oregon par
ticularly, the drive is a joint one.
Portland has perfected a system

paign for the Y. M. C. A. will bo con
duced along with the big drive to avoid

dugouts in Rrnnce and on other fronts
of war are the salvation, physically
and often morally of our own soldier

will take the pulpits of the county
for four minutes and again drive homo
the need of giving to the Y. M. C. A.
for soldier boys at hotie and abroad.
