seen at the Arcade today and to
morrow in the Morosro-Pill'.immint
production of Donald Crisu's slniv.
"The Cook of Canyon Cnmn" whi -
was prepared for the screen by Mr.
Hoban and Julia Crawford 1-eis and
produced by Morosco director. Pon-

In "The Cook of Canvcn Camp,"
Mr. iebim is seen as a French-Canadian
cook in a lumber camp near
Quebec. By his wonderful svmnathv
and cleverness he reunites a family
and after so doing receives reward
enough to marry the irirl of his
heart ami have the dream of his life,
the greatest "flapjack" palace in the
world!
The story was filmed high up in
the California mountains and. al
though taken in the spring, the com
pany was caught in a blizzard and for
I days were cut off from communica
tion with the outside world. The sup
plies got low and Mr. Beban had to
carry out his part in reality by cook
ing "flapjacks" for the other mem
bers of the organization.
Clever Helen Eddy who has also
made a reputation for herself as a
character actress and has appeared
in supirort of Mr. Beban in a num
ber of his other productions, is again
seen ns his leading woman.
Others in the cast are Monroe Salis
bury who scored such pronounced
success in the Lasky production "The
Kose of the Rancho" and as leading
man for Marguerite Clark in "The
Goose Girl"; John Burton and Flor
ence Vidor.
The wonderful mountains of Cali
fornia are shown in all their glory
in the photography.
