Espec ially has this been true in stock and feeder lines 'of . the, cattle perm and hog alleys. Today's receipts are about 300 cattle, 700 hogs and 100 sheep. ' -' .. ; . Cattle ' There have been 'some indications of slowness in the cattle movements, but activities have developed some what as the day advanced. The quo tations of the day follow: Best beef steers 8.25 to 8.75; Good beef steers 7.00 to 8.00; iBesf beef cows 6.00 to 700; Ordinary to good cow 3.50 to 5.50; Best heifers 6.25 to 7.25; Bulls 4.50 to 6.00; Calves 6.50 to 9.25; .Stocker and Feeder steers 4.50 to 7.00. Hogs The hog alleys faced a slight de- clino in all departments as the day developed. There was a largo supply of stock and feeder hogs offered on the market and sales lowered to 16 cents for the bulk. Only a small volume of killing hogs business "was transacted at a decline of 25 cents from the earlier part of the week. Whito are expected to reduce the number of recruits here from the state. Ambulance Corps Leaves for American , ' Lake Wash. Tho company has been 're cruited to full strength since June and Bince thon has been drilling and studing French. The unit began ac tive service yesterday morning w'hetn equipment wan issued to them.
