-Tamper With Pump During J. B.
Stoddard's absence from home Sun
day someone tampered with his
gasoline irrigation pump putting it
temporarily out of commission. Mr.
Stoddard found that all valves, cups,
coils and the explosion chamber were
filled with a liquid cement which gum
med up the engine and made it use
less. Besides this a quantity of oil
had been poured over the entire pomp
making it a sticky mess. Mr. Stoddard
has no idea who committed the ac";,
but asserted that he would liked to
have caught them at work.
