That "The Little American," the great Mary Pickford-Artcraft patri otic, production, is one of the best aids to recruiting which the govern ment has, is being demonstrated every day by the hundreds of lotters re ceived by the "Little American" her self, by Cecil B. De Mille, the pro ducer, and by Jeanio Macpherson, the author of the story. , i ,Miss Macpherson recently received a letter from Lieut. Jag. Douglas, Sec ond Separate Troop, Louisiana Cav alry, now at tho training camp on the border. Lieut. Douglas writes: "We havo placed a recruiting of ficer outside of the theater where "The Little American'' is being shown and grab many young men as they come out after seeing this wonderful play. I don't know how soon we are going to the front, but if we ever reach the firing line, I wish that just before going into buttle we could show "The Little American' to our boys, for I know they would then be in the right frame of mind to charge all the way up to Wilhclm's castle in Berlin.
