La Grande banks will be closed three days next week. After Sunday comes election day, a bank holiday fixed 'by law. Tuesday, June 5, will be a non-business day with the banks, the governor having proclaimed it a holiday because of registration under the military conscription act of con gress. Following the rush of busi ness early in the month, La Grande bankers are anticipating what the Tush will be Wednesday , morning, June 6. Dating from Saturday noon, there will be a period of three and a half days, or h&lf a week closed to business. Bank employes outside the age ' limits'1 for conscription registra tion will have the opportunity to go fishing two day3 longer or to put in the time cultivating food crops. Special Sale.
