The two opposing teams ore Rain vs. Shine and th,e score for the last four days is Rain 3, Shine 1. But we still have hopes. J. R. Morgan, of Oakesdale, Wash ington, is here visiting his brother M. W. Morgan. It s reported that J. R. Morgan will buy his brother's jew elry store in the near future. The home of L. E. Caviness was the scene of two very delightful Bridge parties on Tuesday and Wed nesday ' of this week. The color scheme for both days was red, white and blue. These colors predominated in the luncheons p.s well as in the house decorations. The first day Mrs. Caviness entertained the Bridge club. The following guests were in attend ance: Mrs. F. H. Gaulke, Mrs. J. P. Johnson, Mrs. M. W. Morgan, Mrs. J. A. Horan, Mrs. A. J. Richardson, Mrs. Affie B Hanna, Mrs. Geo. Sal lady, Mrs. M. W. Wilson Mrs. E. T. Schelur, Mrs. E. 'Right about fnee!" shouted Hie rag doll soldier. And tho little boy right about faced. Just then great biff raindrops begun to fall, and tho little boy would surely have had his scout things nil shrunk up If the rag doll soldier hadn't hap pened to have his umbrella with him. "A soldier is always prepared," said he, opening tho umbrella nud holding It over his friend. Game of Midnight. One player Is fox and the others sheep. The fox may only catch tho sheep at midnight. The fox stands in one corner of the yard inside of a marked off space. The sheep nro in a diagonally opposite corner. Tho fox leaves his den and wanders about, aft. cr which tho Hheep sculler out and como as close to him as they dare. They keep asking him the time, and he answers any hour ho chooses. If he says any hour except "midnight" they are safe. liut when ho answers "Mid night," they must run for the sheepfold. Any sheep caught changes place with the fox and tho game goes on. DR. J. L.
