a Sudden Death
D. A. Ackerly, formerly a iresident
of La Grande and at one time super
intendent of the Amalgamated Sugar
company, met his death instantly Sat
urday, April 14, near Orient, Wn., by
accidentally discharging a gun he was
carrying while climbing over a fence
on a hunting trip. For some time Mr.
and Mrs. Ackerly have made their
home in Spokane. Before her mar
riage Mrs. Ackerly was Miss Cora
Aldrich of this city.
