Friday, April 13, La Grande is to havo the opportunity of hearing the Girls' Glee club of Bakor high school, accompanied by the Baker high school orchestra. Baker's football teams, basketball teams, and track teams havo often visited La Grande and La l.rpnde's eams have giro tiie--e, but this is the first year that the girls havo been given such a trip. The Baker stu dent body was considerably in debt, but the girls of the school canvassed tho town selling tickets for the foot ball game which was played with Walla Walla, and a sum exceeding $500 was raised. The school felt keenly this bit of cooperation on the part of its girls and to express their appreciation and in compliance with the saying, "Turn about is fair play," Mr, Strange offered the trip to La Grande to the Glee club.
