As a result of a conference with the ditch company held yesterday, we were granted permission to divert the water from the sewer for a limited time from the tank, and give the tank a thorough cleaning. We found, that the members of the ditch company were willing to meet the city half way in the matter of taking care of the sewerage, but that they expect the city to put forth every effort to rem edy the condition. They will present the commission with a written state ment relative to their position, and asking that the tin sewer be freed from present sewer connections. In my opinion the city should see that all sewer connections which open in to the tin sewer should be changed to the sanitary sewer; and the neces sary corrections made in the construc tion at the Jefferson street crossing. Respectfully submitted, F. B. CURREY, General Manager.
