Madill Fined on Two Counts.
James Madill arrested last night on
a charge of assaulting a Chinese in '
the Bon Ton restaurant, was fined
$100 and sentenced to 10 days in jail
by Judge Eakin this morning. On a

rack) Forbes, who died Sunday morn

Ormille Dagle Is Dead.
Ormille Dagle of Tacoma, 'but for
merly of Ija Grande died in Tacoma
Saturday of tuberculosis. Mr. Dagle
is a brother of Mrs. E. S. Coy, of Ta
coma, formerly in the mercantile
business in La Grande. M.r Dagle at
one time was employed 'by G. M.
Kicney. lie was about 4n years
of age.
