Fifty-eight dollars in chips, some loose silver, a gambling table and eight decks of cards were taken in the raid. Police Judge Kukin fined the players $50 each, and added $150 mora to Greider's fine because he is alleged to have been the proprietor of tiie game. I ZZZJ Talks on "Preparedness." I Dr. R. E. L. Holt talked to the high school student3 in assembly yester day morning on phases of prepared ness. Dr. Holt told the students that the highest patriotism was not neces sarily to fight, but to bo ready to an swer to the call, if a call came. (United Press) Cells in Dartmoor prison today await conscientious objectors and oth ers who refuse to fight for king and country from now on. The govern ment heretofore has dealt leniently with the objectors, but after today they must either fight or be locked up. Dartmoor is tho convict prison built in 1800 to hold French prisoners. Two thousand American seamen who refused to serve as British sailors in tho war of 1812, against their own country, were confined there too.
