He said "this might enable the gov ernment to prevent violations of the United States' rca rights without de claring war." I is understood that President Wil son completely approved the resolu tion. It provides that the Allies war ships may enter the United States harbors for the purpose of "captur ing, destroying, resisting and escap ing from belligerent vessels practicing illegal sea warfare." Leon Wilkinson has asked for let ters of administration in the estate of Merritt Wilkinson. The estate was appraised at $:!r,000 by J. A. Russell, Clint Van Fleet and W. 1). Grandy. J. I. Slater, attorney for S. A. Gar- dinier and wife, Madlin Gardinier, made defendants in a suit for damages brought by Meyers & Iiter, has filed a demurrer to U:o complaint averring that the complaint is erroneously drawn and does not constitute cause for action.
