Taylor, attorney of the United States reclamation service, was in Sulem Wednesday conferring with Percy Cupper, assistant state en gineer, who was chairman of the com mittee appointed by the Oregon Irri gation congress to draw the new laws, completing the details of the act. Volley Ball Games Played Yesterday. The volley ball contests among the Y. M. C. A. .business men yesterday afternoon were somewhat one sided, the "Pecans" defeating the "Walnuts" by the scores of 21 to 7 and 2i to 8. The "Walnuts" were without their leader, Elmer Stoddard, and this ac counted for the low score to some ex tent. With Dr. Graham, captain of the "Hickory," playing in true form, they administered real decisive beat ings to the "Almonds," the scores be ing 21 to a, and 21 to 8. The setnd ing of the league is: Pecans, won 4, lost 0, percentage 1.000; Walnuts', won 2 lost 2, percen tage, .500; Hickory, won 2 lost 2, per centage. .500; Almonds, won 0, lost 4, percentage, .000.
