A, in I.u Grande is steadily growing, at the board of director's meeting Wednes day evening, reports were given by tho various departments, showing i growth that was gratifying to all tho members of the board. Plans were discussed to round out departments that have not been given much atten tion of late especially is thiB true ;f the boys' departments. A boys' com mittee will be organized that will give special expert attention to the boyvi. The boy forest rangers have been or ganized. Sunday afternoon meetings will be held and will be addressed by successful business and professional men. "Building Boyhood" will be largely the future plan of the Y. JI. C. A. in La Grande. The membership of the association is also growing. The receipts for Sep tember and October prove this fact. It is the purpose of the mem bar ship committee to put on the Annual Membership campaign during the lat ter part of November or the first part of December. Tho committee is now working on the preparatory banquet, all the contest teams will be invito! to be present and all plans will be laid for the contest. Tho Y. M. C. A. is in position to offer something of real value to every person who joins and it is the objective of the membership committee to go out and sell this priv ilege to all who stand for the best of things. Secretary King is to be compliment ed on the remarkable showing for Sep tember and October. Reports show a wonderful patronage of the building under Mr. King's business-like and competent administration.
