Ben Hearing, a pioneer blacksmith of La Grande, arrived this morning from Central Oregon on a visit after an absence of ten years. Mr. Hear ing was the father of Leo Hearing, the yountf man wnose untimely i mise was mourned in La Grande not very long ago. In the early days Mr. Hearing served a term as city mar shal of La Grande.
