Ifyjs admitted that reinforced Portland cement con
crete, marble, bronze and copper are the most enduring
building nauferials known. With the exception of heavy"
art-glass only these time-defying materials will be used
in the La Grande Community Mausoleum.
The monolithic concrete foundation will be strong
enough to sustain the weight of a building several
stories high, the crypts weigh approximately two tons
each and arc practically in one piece with the foundation.
When completed the Mausoleum will be as solid and im
movable as tho hewn from solid rock.
All doors, window frfmes and sash, gates, grills and
so forth will be of nourusting bronze or copper, "he
interioKof the building will be faced with finest Alaskan
marble.
Every oHjice ojr material entering into the La Grande
Community MWoleum will be enduring and durable.
It will be iniposjlnde to erect a building more permanent
thm this. This MSWing will be as lasting as the Pyra
mids, as eternal as thehills.
