dition to La Grande, which is in the
vicinity of extreme west Adams, have
been ollkially put on record and are

present pound will be abandoned Au

use of for that purpose. This was the
action decided on last evening tat the

A petition from Pearl Stiles to re
pair damages done by last Sunday's
fire was referred to the manager for
further consideration. .
The date of hearing remonstances
on the one-block sewer project in the
Grand addition, was postponed until
August 16.
Flag Not Ordered.
Numerous citizens who have been .
morougniy emuarrasseu in a painouc m,
sense wiflh the appearance of a toy , 1
flag from the city's flag staff during
the present summer are prone to meet
additional chagrin unless the commis
sion reconsider , the question of a
new flag was brought up last night
and while it was the sense that a suit
able one should be bougihit, it was
thought best to let it go over until
next year. The flag now used is about
8x10 inches. The general impression
is that the flagstaff would be better
off without the colors than to ihong
up a flag of such dimensions as the
present one is.
