Mitchell, of the La Grande Fuel Co., received a message from his wife who is visiting (relatives in Aspen, Wyoming, stating their seven year old daughter was critically ill. Mr. Mitchell left last night for the child's bedside. Harry Brooks, of the ;Baker Demo crat, accompanied by Mrs. Brooks and their son spent yesterday with Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Jessie and other La Grande friends. Andrew Marker will go to Twin Falls in a day or two to transact legal business and remain for about two weeks. Mrs. R. Glenn, who attended the funeral of her cousin Muriel Chandler at Elgin yesterday, returned today to ,her home in Durkee. Attorney Claude McColloch, who is associated with Ex-Governor Wert-in a law firm in Portland, is in La Grande today on some legal business'. Col. H. G.
