Portland, June 5. Thirty-one loads of California fed cattle came upon the North Portland market at the open ing of the week's trade and had a bearish influence upon the price. The Hearst Estate alone had 10 loads of cattlo in from San Louis Obispo and 104 head of these sold at ?8, wruen was somewhat lower than previous sales from the same paities and from the same section. These cattlo were raised in Mexico, but were fed in Cal ifornia. It was a very small run of stuff in mutton division of the North Port land market, over Sunday. Total run was but (568 head, compared with 1320 head last Monday. In general there 1 was a steady to strong tone all through the mutton and lumb trade for the day. . j American markets in general were weaker and lower for the day, but the most extreme weakness was on the coast. . . , FIUTIT Gooseberries 15c box.
