Clean-Up Day Decided Upon.

hilla city council at a mooting on
Wednesday night decided to have a

tion of a dumping ground for city
garbage, which has been in the air
for several months, was finally set
tled when the council allowed the
purchase of a tonact of land from
Oliver Robbins, outside tho city lim
its, to be used for a dumping ground.
On clean-up day the oity wiM furnish
teams for hauling rubbish that ii
reiuly for them that day. Those, who
are not ready to make use of the
teams that day will be obliged to pay
the expense of hauling later. The
council ordered 500 yards of gravel
from the W. V. S. Electric, to be
used on city streets. George Marts
was appointed street commissioner.
Robbed Third Time in Few Years
Eugene, Or., May 26. For the
third time since he entered the pro
fession of dentistry only a few years
ago, Dr. L. S. Whetstone, of this
city, was robbed one night this week.
Tho thieves entered his office by
breaking open the door and stole
over $10 worth of gold besides a
numbem of articles of more or less
value. Dr. Whetstone was held up
