Boston Transcript. Portland, May 25. (Special) T1k evening of June 6 will witness the crowing of the Rose Festival Queen at tho Festival center. Mayor Alhee will present the ruler of the fiesta with the key to the city after J. H. Dundore, President of the 1916 Fes tival, places the crown of roses on the head of the queen. After the crowir.g the queen will view the display at the festival cen ter. A military escort will clear the way for the official party and they will spend an hour looking over the floral exhibits. The queen at this time will officially dedicate the Rose Fountain,, central feature of the dis play covering 80,000 square feet, and the first feature of the kind ever built in the country. Preceding the crowning will com? a parade from the city hall to the festival center. Broadway will be gaily decorated for tho fiesta and when the queen and her party reaches the intersection of Alder and Broad way it will be the signal for the first illumination of this thoroughfare. Some of the most magnificent elec trical decorations ever seen are being built and will all be in place the after noon of June 6 for the first disp'ay tnat evemng. Announcement was made a few days ago that a voluntary committee had raised a fund of over one hundred und fifty thousand dollars for "The Felix Adler Scholarship Endowment". The amount was subscribed without any public notice having been given and following the publication of the news item there were such substantial ud ditioss to 'the original sum, thr.t it is- now expected that tra sum will reach between two hundred und fifty thousand and three hundred thousand dollars. The fund will be completed in time for a formal presentation to Dr. Adler at one of the occaisons during the celebration of the fortieth anni versary of the movement, which begins May 1 1th. There are more than seven hundred and fifty students in the Ethi cal Culture School in New York, and fully one half of the fellowships for these students are maintained in the school year after year by private sub scriptions. The new scholarship en dowment wil make these scholar ships permanent. Dr. Adler was the founder of the Ethical Culture Move ment, and he has been its leader for forty years. Asa feature of the cele bration which is to include the divi sions of the society from all parts of the country, it is the desire of the members of the societies to pay per sonal trilxrte to the great work (lone by their leader.
