Glad To See Old Town
. John Collier is glad to be back
in La Grande today after having been
in Portland since transferring his busi
ness to that city. Though here but
for a few days before going once more
to his new home, Mr. Collier is en
joying real sunshine and old-time
friends to the fullest extent today.

Mrs. Anna Schwaiger and her son,
Bob. Schwaiger of North Platte, Neb.,
are here visiting the E. Polack familv.
The North Platte lady is the mother
of Mrs. Polack. Mr. Schwaiger is an
engineer on the Union Pacific.

Over Camp Carson Property.

old Camp Carson district up the
Grande Ronde river. They left La
Grande at an early hour yesterday
morning. Mr. M. Boomer, one of the
party, arrived in La Grande from

of age.
She leaves to mourn her premature
departure from this earth, father,

B. F. Wilson and Mrs. M. W. Huff
man of Union, Oregon and Mrs. R. A.
Wlilkerson of Meacham, Ore., besides
numerous other 'relatives and a ihost of

ing the grip of rheumatism with which

the City of La Grande in 1899 remain
ing there till 1906, and during the
