Mr, ' and Mrs. Polack arranged for their guests, Thursday evening, to play cards. Mrs. E. E. Kirtley and Mrs. E. E. Bragg won first and consolation prizes for the women and among the men L. A. McAllister and Feter Mc Donald won first and consolation Flowers were used as the baBis of the decoration scheme Mrs. Polack . adopted for the evening. The event, though marked with regret at the do -parture of Engineer and Mrs. Gatd Tier, was enjoyed as an opportunity for the old-time friends to visit before the .parting. . A. Pursel. of It had been planned to cel this event in a fitting man- mr, but as Mrs. Pursel's health has not been as good as usual for the past few weeks, the idea was given up and instead the Relief Corps and other friends remembered Mrs. Pursel with cards and notes of re membrance and congratulation.
