of cocaine, morphine and other kinds

of dopers, men and women from all

into Blackwell's Island penitentiary,
where Prison Physician Dr. Ernest
F. Bishop is having remarkable suc
cess in absolutely curing the victims

users, just so they would be sent to
the island. Both have' just emerged
from the voluntary prison term, cured

walk in, ask to be arrested and con
fess so they will be sent to the pri
son. However, there is no drug
"cure" at Blackwell's. Commissioner
of Correction Buddette G. Lewis says
the same cure should be effected by
any intelligent i and ordinarily com
potent physician who will quit look
ing upon coppers as the victims of a
habit and diagnose each individual
case from the standpoint of a pecul
iarly individual disease. Said ho:
