that adjustment of assessments in
his hands, be given due consideration
and to hear any complaint from any
taxpayer that thinks his property is
not valued equal to that of other
property. Then if the two cannot
agree, the Board of Equalization
meets the second M onday in Septem-!
ber and will give attention to all com- j
plaints coming before them. ,"

Cattle and Horse Raisers Association
Getting Good Results
Bakor, Jan. 25. The fiscal year of
of the Cattle and horse raisers' Asso
ciation of Oregon, which closes with
the current month, has been one of
great success for the organization,
which wus instituted by local stock
men three years ago. In the recovery
of stiaycattle a great success was re
corded no less than 250 strays being
reported to the association and 150
returned to their owners.
Secretary Correll keeps a brand
book .showing the brands of all mem
bers. 'When word reaches him of
stray cattle he looks up the brand,
finds the owner, who in a majority
of cases gets his stock back with lit
tle or no cost. In this nnn rintoil
alone the association offers protection
to its members that not a single horse
or cuttle raiser should overlook.
