Mrs. George Wade, a resident on Washington avenue, was the delight ful hostess of the New Idea Em broidery club Thursday afternoon. The next regular meeting will not be held until February 10. Miss Irene Murphy had the mem bers of the BiMikin club at her home Thursday afternoon, the date being the regular meeting day of that club. Sewing and crocheting occupied the time. Miss Murphy served a. unique luncheon of individual chicken ipios. The Owaissa club was entertained in a chnrming manner this week by Miss Elsie Newquist, one of the regular members. Miss Newquist served a tamale supper at .the end of the even ing's entertainment. v Mrs. E. Polack was in charge of the Thursday Bridge club session this week at her home. The afternoon was spont in playing cards, Mrs. Vincent Palmer scoring highest. Mrs. Polack served delicious refreshments were present, and Mrs. E. E. Kirtley scored highest. A two-course lunch eon was served by Mrs. Bragg. The evening division meets next week with Dr. and Mrs. M. K. Hall and Mr. ana Mrs. T. J. Sorotrein as hosts, at the home of the first named. Mi-s. F. L. Meyers was a delightful hostess to the Lucky Thirteen club on the regular meeting day this week. Only members attended and icards were played, head prize going to Mrs. J. A. Horan. Mrs. Will French will be the next hostess. Mrs. Clyde Zimmerman entertained the F. A. F. club a week ago yester day afternoon in a most pleasing way, At cards hiirh scores went to Mrs, Tom Williamson and Mrs. Guy Ellis. Mrs. Zimmerman served a two course luncheon to her guests. ' ' . - .Yesterday afternoon Mrs. W. H, Satford, who lives on Seventh street, was at home to the F. A. F. club. Mrs. Walter Spencer scored highest at cards. The hostess put a tooth some two-course luncheon before her guests at the proper hour. .A - ' - The Gaiety club held its regular dancing party last evening at Rex hall. Homer Carnes expects to take charge of Blevins ranch on March 1st. He has rented this place and mi. siev ing and wife will move in .town. Mr. Berger and wife were shopping in town Wednesday. "Grippe" is raging in this part of the country and nearly everyone is having it or has had it. The severe weather seems to aggravate the symp toms. ... Mb. Delia Chandler is visiting with her sister Mrs. Wylie Dalton and her mother, Mrs. Denning. Mrs. Chand ler will remain here for some weeks.
