PAGE SIX m : ' r LA GRANDE EVENING OBSERVED It's at the two a fellow the health" of anv Cream wruii the United States Cream Separator! FORTIFIED AGAINST EXTREMES OF TEMPERATURE When it is Winter When you are using a U. S.' Cream Separator you don't have to heat a a kettle of water to start the skim ming. It works cold. When the oil in other separators has clogged or frozen up, the U. S. Sepa rator, with no kinks, bends, or goose necks, in its oil tube, is running Bmoothly and silently, perfectly lu- ' bricated. When every liquid is freezing solid, you don't have to worry about the ; bowl of the U. S. Separator being damaged by neglect. It empties : itself automatically always! When the gas engine "dies" if you are using power, the U. S. has a hand crank on the other side, and you can "goto it!" When it is Summer When the cream is skimmed by a U. S. Separator, it keeps longer, for its the first and only separator remarkably fortified in sanitary ways from top to bottom. Bacteria are "up against it" like flies in January. When other separators get "vile" the U.S. is sweet and clean, with no. milk drip on the frame, or in the gear case, or in the iron bowl cham ber. The removable sanitary liner . prevents. When ordinary separators are turning the new batch sour, with bowl left full from the previous run, the U. S. is starting fresh and dry, the bowl having drained itself without atten tion. When washing-up time comes, there are fewer parts to clean. With the ' mechanical washer U. S. users are through in one-third the time. Time in summer is especially valuable. Every Season is "Open Season ' for the U. S. Do you wonder now that I will never rest easy until all my dairy friends have the U. S.? I am selling satisfaction and will not try to build up business on any other basis. ' ! : . 'V. ;-,'.(.,,, .:'-(', ;.rn-', ' '" ''.''..' .,: - . -'i:,-.' '.' . .'' C. S. NORRIS, Pres. Ore. Co-Op. A face that miRht have been that of Onrnien, tho raven-black hair that wreathes eyes that ever lure and mock; eyes that caress into forgetfulness of duty and honor, that glitter in fiendish triumph over the dead lips that have not lived to speak slightingly of another wom an, and that coolly tantalize tho suitor who has accomplished his revenge. HERES NEW VIGOR FOR Newlin's Drug Co., the : popular druggists, have been in the drug busi ness long enough to have their own opinion of the best way of selling medicines. They say the plan adopt ed by Mi-o-na, the. great dyspepsia remedy, is the fairest they have ever heard of. They dont believe that a medicine ought to be paid for unless it does tho user some good. And Mi-o-na is sold under a positive guar antee to relievo dyspepsia or to re fund the money. You simply leave 50 cents on deposit with them and if, after you have used the box of Mi-o-na you decide that it has done you no good, all you have to do is to tell them so and they will retuni your money. Hundreds of people have been re lieved of stomach agonies by usinc; this remarkable remedy. It is not simply a food digester; it Is a medi cine that puts all of the digestive or gans into normal condition and gives ruddy, glowing, vigorous health. A change for the bettor will b? een after the first few doses of M.-o-na, and its continued use will soon give tho power to eat anything at any time and not sufTor distress after ward. Use Mi-o-na and see how much more there is in life. Adv. Capital and Labor Disagree. Washington, Jan. 13. Issue No, 1 on the program, for congressional legislation of the American Federa tion of Labor and other labor inter ests, is a resolution for the nrintine? of the reports and testimony of the Federal Commission on Industrial Re lations. The report is not popular with some people. It paints a picturo of industrial exploitation and of in justice to workers which many em ployers say isn't true. They say Chairman Frank P. Walsh used the $450,000 appropriated for the secur ing of these facts, for prosecuting "the men who built up the country." Labor declares the report furnishes the only fair record of the exploita tion it has suffered. The report has been much sought. Thousands of letters and telegrams have reached congressmen asking for copies. The available supply was exhausted months ago. Traveling Eats Up Diplomats' Pay. Washington, Jan. 12. Traviling abroad in these troublous times is no joke, especially for American diplo matic agents at their present rate of pay, Secretary McAdoo reported to Congress in his estimate of expendi tures. In many eases consuls have been forced t travel by wagon and horseback, s with . constant delays at junction" points. ' McAdoo declares they are forced to pay large amounts Out ef their own pockets' above the 6 cents a mile allowed by lav.
