With a view to holding a horse and mule show in Pendleton some time this fall, ari or ganization of Umatilla county horse and mule raisers is to be formed if the immediate future. A call meeting is to be held in the Commercial club rooms at 2 o'clock on the afternoon of May 1, at which time steps will be taken to band together breeders in to a county organization which will become a subordinate part of the state association of horse and mule raisers. Western League Opens . Lincoln, Neb. Apr. 23. The West ern League opened today. Inaugural games, in the eight-club circuit were promised big attendance. The Den ver 1914 champions played here, Oma ha at St. Joseph, Des Moines at Sioux City, and Topeka at Witchita.
