Grande, visited over Sunday as guests
of Mrs. Laura D. Nash. Pendletom

H. J. Hockenberry, for many years
at the head of La Grande schools, has
been in Eastern' Oregon points, in
cluding La- Grande,, on business mat
ters for several days. ','" ' '

have chartered a special train and

. Limited space prevented giving each
member of the cast special mention,
but La Grande people are proud of
their amateurs and the Elks are to
be congratulated on having so much
talent in their local lodge.
Each and every member wishes to
tnke this opportunity of thanking the
members of the cast, Mr. Sherwood
and his orchestra, the band boys, who
so kindly left their work and went
out on parade in the afternoon, also
every one who in any way helped to
make the show a success.
Mr. and Mrs. DeVore have always
been very successful in staging their
performances, and "In the Bishop's
Carriage" was. no .exception to the
rule. i :
