Ful ly 25 players of more or less merit at present and showing good prou pects to become future stars have participated from time to time since j the league was inaugurated. ' That the M. I. A. will head the league when the season is over, : is now beginning to become a safe bet, but the under dogs are aching to score a defeat at some point in the schedule of the masters. Thnt fact alone will keep interest at fever height from that angle, any when it comes to sec ond place, the season is still young. The high school with its one-gunu lead for second pluce, lias a slight ad vantage, but thut is trifling , to be sure and fans can readily sec where any of the three traders can still get to second place. At the beginning of the league sen son it was felt, if the truth wero known, that the green O.-W. players would be the ones ' that would nee ! nursing to retain interest.
