Summer's heat is having its effect on the churches the call to the wilds these cool Sunday mornings, it is feared, are running counter at traction to the church steps. Never theless, church life in a'.' the churches has been bristling with activity this week. Sunday schools and other branches of church life have transfer red their weekly gatherings to the city park in many instances. The pending placement of bids for the erection of the new Catholic church has been one of the week's chief church events of more than passing interest. Preaching at the Tent.
