The Fair board of the Baker County Fair association this morning appointed Joseph Wad- dell to take charge of the racing program at the coming fair. Mr. , Waddel is without doubt one of the best race horse men in the Pacific .Northwest and he will at once pro ceed to get the race meet liaedl up so that Baker will have four days of speedy and brisk racing with a -good card every day. He will try first to get Boise and La Orange lined sp soHhat the horses can be brought here from La Grande, then spend the next week i Boise and the next at Salt Lake. Those present at the meeting of the board this morning were Ernest Welch, president; A. S. Shockley, treasurer; Walter Meach am, secretary; William Duby 'and Fred Cranston.
