daughter Lela took part. She was
accompanied by her son, Abner.. Mrs.

Mrs. C. A. Endicott left last night
for Schuyler, Nebraska, where she
will visit for some time
Mr. and Mrs Fred J. Holmes will
leave this evening for Portland to re
main several days. Their daughter,

Mrs. Jno. Girdler who was operated
on at the Grande Rondo hospital was
alle to go home this morning. While
:ct yet fully recovered, she is con
valescing slowly.
H. Buell, housefurnisher, of Elgin,
returned this morning from Portland,
where he attended the hose festival.
He was laden with sacks and parcels
in which he had some of the gorgeous
roses on display in the famous Oregon
metropolis. He intends to , secure
plants and beautify his Elgin home.
