the ocal auto owners and drivers and
the city officials about the manner of
parking autos, is, that for a time
every auto owner is urged to park his
car at an angle of about 45 degrees.

La Grande's second annual motor-1
cycle road races may develop into a
two-day affair. In any event the j
riders who will participate on June
21st, which is Sunday, aro to be in
La Grande so far as possible on Sat-1
urday. On that day the riders will
be taken on a pleasure tour of the
Grande Rondo, or they can ride the
course of the next day's meet if they
choose.
Pleasure Tour Planned.
If entries come in like early indi
cations point to, it will be necessary
to run off some of the preliminaries
for the track races on Saturday giv
ing added zest to the meeting.
Carl Rose Coming Too.
Carl Rose, the Portland rider is
coming to enter with his famous Ex
celsior and is bringing a string of
hirh class Portland riders. The big
northwest meet takes place in Port
land about the same time and it will
likely be possible to get some men of
rmtionnl fame here. Rose is especially
desirous of redeeming himself for last
year when Tracy Hollister grabbed
the event and Rose didn't even place.
Literature exploiting the meet is
now being sent out. Local people
rallied to the support of the club and
subscribed all the money needed to
make the event one of financial cer
tainty, .ind the club has now dpter
mined that this annual event shall
rank with the chautauqua, fair and
other distinctly La Grande events of
annual nature.
Last evening the local committee
were called together by President
Roscoe Neill, and many matters gone
over Inokinn- toward a smooth, well-
managed meet. Slight mistakes of
last year, when everybody was inex
perienced, will be eliminated this
time and much success is predicted.
Last night the following commit
tees were appointed by President
Neil:
Finance committee Bohnenkamp,
Adair, Bartholamew.
Advertising committee Reynolds,
Hollister, Roskamp, Slagle and Vehrs.
Track committee loung, cuius,
Walden, Cleveland.
The entrance will be closed the
evening' of the 15th but riders may
enter until the 18th by paying double
the entrance fee. All communication
should be addressed to Chas. H. Reyn
olds, secretary.
