colt with said mare, bay color with
white spot in face, no visible brand,!
has fresh wire cuts on front leg.
That said animals are now held in
the City Pound of La Grande, Ore
gon, according to ordinance No. 4 of
Series of 1894. j
The owner of Bald animals may
reclaim the same by paying the sum
of $1.00 'each, and the expenses of
their keeping within 'ten days from
dato of this notice. If not so re
claimed, they will be advertised and
sold to the highest bidder for cash,
according to the ordinances of said

cial): Joseph Linebarger conducted
his first dance of the season, in the
hall at his park Saturday night and
will very likely have many more be
fore the summer is over. There wasj
such a crowd that dancing could
scarcely be called a pleasure although
every one appeared to be having a
splendid time. Mrs. Linebarger and
daughters, Misses Helen' and Christi
na, served a supper consisting of
sandwiches, pickles, salad, cakes and
coffee. Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Ilery
fordj who were recently married, and
who reside near Cove,, came over to
attend the dance at Linebarger's park.
Mrs. Helle Huntley of La Grande and
sister Airs. Bertha Evansbn, who is
visiting her from Grant's Pass were
