PACK TWO LA GRANDE EVENING OBSERVER , SATURDAY, MAY 2, 1914. GHAKGES SERVICES SUMMER SCHEDULE BECOMES EFFECTIVE TOMORROW, Union Services Tomorrow Evening at the M. E. Church. Commencing, tomorrow night, the Summer schedule for evening services in local churches becomes effective. The new hour is 8 o'clock, instead of 7:30 as is the rule in the winter schedule. Few Episcopal churches will hold more than one service tomorrow. In the forenoon delegates to the boys' and girls' conference now in progress, will spend the morning service hours in which every church they may choose, and tomorrow night all protestant churches will unite in a union meeting at the M. cnurcn to bid farewell to the visiting dele gates and hear the program there on that occasion. Dr. Springston, a prominent state Sunday School worker, will occupy the Baptist church pulpit tomorrow morning. Religious Lectures Coming. G. K. Berry of Portland will begin a series of lectures at the Christian church Monday evening, admission being free. The themes will be: Monday evening: The history and teaching of the ' Greek Catholic Church. Tuesday evening: The history and teaching of the Roman Catholic Church. Wednesday evening: Martin Luth er. Thursday evening: The Church of England. Friday evening: John Calvin, or the Presbyterians. Saturday evening: John Wesley, or the Methodists. Sunday morning: The history and teaching of the Baptists.
