Redeemed war- ' rants with interest in the sum of $22,- 1 833.24 and bought $215.83 face war rants for B. C. P. L. Sinking fund for $205.05 and entered meter readings. The police collected $5.00 fine, $10.00 forfeit and has an assignment of balance of wage check which will net $16 or $17 on a $25.00 fine. The recorder received $370.00 as sessment on 56-B, 29.08 assessment on No. CO, $45.48 sewer assessment and interest, $5.00 fine $10.00 for feiture, $34.00 dog tax, $1.00 for two building permits. Issued two taxi and two dance hall licenses on treasurer receipt. Issue J Imp. Dist. Interest war rant for $150.00 and $205.05 on B. C. P. L. Sinking fund to pay for war rants bought. Warrant for library expense $26.12, also $1,500 warrant on 10 percent final on Disto No. 57. Water 'superintendent spent $16.24 on taps, $23.70 cleaning reservoir, $2.87 cleaning sewer, $2.75 repairing and $16.76 reading meters or a total of $62.32 for the week. ' ' The fire department had no calls. The Bowser Pump and storage tank has arrived' and is now installed. The engineer set grade stakes and inspected the subway sewer. I am making an index of all the or dinances of the city by subjects. This will enable anyone to find any ordin ance on any subject without going over the index of 7 books. Later we will index only the live ordinances. Then legislation on any subject will be reduced' to an exact and definita basis. - Many old ordinances should be re vised to meet new conditions and the Ji old ones repealed.
