Fri ay afternoon at 3:00 p. m., thirteen High School students entered In com petition for class honors in the Cross country run, the Sophomores winning the honors. Starting at the school house they followed a course to Piatt's ranch returning the same way making a course of about 3 miles. The time was 16 minutes. Couch. 1 While trying to ride a bicycle over a teter-board, Ross Hood was severe ly injured when at the top of the board the wheel turned throwing the rider who fell on his head and should ers. He was " quickly rushed to his home in an unconcious condition' and the doctors were summoned. After consistent work he was brought too, about' six o'clock the next mornimr. From then on he survived rapidly and was able to be out in a day or two. In a game of baseball between the Sophomores and Freshmen the Sopho mores won the championship of the High School in baseball. The score was 9. to 1. The moving picture show has been" reopened" and1 the regular two-a-week shows are1 flrflwihg the crowd on Wed. nesday and Saturday nights. -They Saw-They Bought The opening day of our stoye in La Grande was a grand success; crowds of buyers filled every isle all day long, and words of praise were heard on every hand.
