McManus is Re-Indicted.
John P. McManus, veteran editor of
the PHot Rock Record who was in
dicted at the previous session of the
grand jury only to have the indictment
quashed, was reindicted by the jury
last week, the charge being the same,
larceny of a quantity of grain valued
at $45 from Sam Barlowe. The pre
vious indictment was quashed upon
the grounds that "the name of R. R.
Johnson was omitted from the list of
witnesses examined. Mr. Johnson, as
an attorney, testified that he had a!
vised Mr. McManus to remove tha
barley when Mr. Barlowe refused to.
