Central School Parent-Teachers' As
sociation in Session.
The Parent-Teachers' meeting of the
Central school building last night was
well attended. The high class of tho
addresses" made by Dr. Hall on "Scho )1
Sanitation", and by Mr. A. S. Geddes ;
on "Discipline in the Home and the
School," characterized the meeting as
one of the most fruitful so far held.

rin and E. N. Strong of Portland

ment is growing and parents are be

these gatherings. Some of the teach
ers have seen the parents of their chil
dren for the first time anil have just

The Frank M. Brown musical com
edy company presented a very funny
face "Jerry" last night to two good
houses and the playlet was full of
clean funny comedy and was well re
ceived. The song numbers were all
late popular selections and the singing
and dancing of the chorus and the
pretty costumes were quite a pleasing
part of the evening's entertainment.
The athletic contest at the close of
the show consisting of boxing, nail
driving and wood sawing, indulged in
by the girls was greatly enjoyed and
as the girls are all vieing with each
other in an endeavor to win the sev
eral prizes there wasn't a dull mo
ment and the fun was greatly enjoyed.
Tonight is the regular chorus girls'
contest, and each member introduces
her own specialty and the audience
is the judge. There are three prizes
to be contested for.
Tonight's bill, "An Old Man's Darl
ing," is one of the best the company
presents and is full of laughs from
start to finish.
