He is now connected with the University of Oregon extensiou de partment and last summer he directed a class in the summer school. This class made the necessary surveys for determining the breeding places of the flies in Eugene and the city council took action in e'eaning up these places. The result was, when the state health inspector made his usual tour of the state, Eugene stood first as the clean est from a sanitary point of view. Dr. Hodge puts the children to work and each community works cleaning out the breeding places of flies. The re sults are wonderful. Can you imagine flyless summer?
