Annual Easter Abstinence Going On Among Vanous Denominations. Lent has ushered in a general oes sation of amusement, of dancing, the atre going and in all churches the great object of self denial has become the chief theme for sermons. ( For some- of .the denominations of the city abstinence from food has likewise en tered into a proper observance of the lenten season, and flesh meats will ue allowed only in restricted quantities. Special services, conducted by pastors and ministers from other cities will be on the program of some of the churches, and the forty days prior to Easter which falls on April 12th, will be a time of preparation for this great feast of Christendom. Special musi cal programs have been arranged and training of these will keep all of the choirs busy until then. , ; Juvenile Choir to Sing. .The vested juvenile choir of the Methodist church will make its sec ond appearance Sunday evening, ren dering numbers in conjunction with the regular music for the evening services. ,.
