The La Grande captain was veritable demon, scoring from the most difficult angles. At center Capt. Wells often outjumped his op ponent and Allen was a constant source of annoyance to those playing opposite him. He was hard to keep track of. In fact every man on our team did excellent work. The game was fairly won by our opponents but not because we have not a good team; it was because we were opposed by an unusually fast team. . Too much credit cannot be given the visitors for the clean, aggressive skillful game they played. The game was fast, and rivalry keen, throughout, but there I was no unnecessary roughnes diS' played. The friendly relation al readv existing between the two schools has been greatly strengthened, 8 In the second series for the Ob server trophy the team captained by Scott defeated Williams' team in an interesting match last night. Only four men were used in the lineups of the teams and some good scores were rolled. Kohl, Zimmerman, McLeod and Frees rolled well for the winners while Wickline, Van Fleet and Will iams were in good form for the de feated bunch. Monday night, Crowe's team and Williams' will roll to see who "holds the cellar in the league race.
