Their home is in Ed terprise. I ' Dr. Wm. D. Moore of Salt Lake, brother of "Spud" Moore former sta tion agent in this city for the O.-W., passed through La Grande en route to Portland. He got off the train to meet old tillicums. J. A. Oliver, and aged, retired far mer of this community, who spends hiB time at Hot Lake came, to La Grande this morning to meet some of his old time friends. He is near 90 years of age. John II. Armstrong of Pendleton, returned to his home after witness ing the initiatory ceremony of theK. P.'s last night. Mr. Armstrong was particularly impressed with the work put on by the Enterprise team, and declared that he had never seen bet ter team work. ' 3. M. Eubanks of Walla Walla, re turned home this morning after visit ing with his father in Summerville for a week or ten days. Mr. Eubanks was reared in this community and is j well known here. Ho has been gone I from this section eight years and is j impressed with the moterial progress of the city of La Grande and towns in the valley. . Past Grand Chancellor. James H. Gwinn of Portland, left this morning for Pendleton where he will visit with brothers of the K. P. lodge before re turning to his home city. He is loud had not seen better degree work any where in the United States. ' Thomas Arthur Nelson of, San Francisco, arrived yesterday to visit at the home of his father N." Nelson, indefinitely. He may decide to remain here. Mr. Nelson came to La Grande with his father after the San Fran cisco earthquake but returned soon after and has lived there since.
