For co-operators we want to so licit men to handle a part, of their farm work so that the result may be an object lesson to the community.; iney wiu be voluntary assistants co operating with the state and govern ment in teaching better agriculture to the people of their immediate vi cinity. v . As time goes on a complete survey of every farm in the county will be made and we will learn what each farm is doing, productively and finan cially. . . When conditions warrant, the agent will introduce new vor improved va rieties of various crops, improved cul tural methods, assist in using com mercial fertilizers, spraying and pruning orchards, inoculation of ' le gumes, treating potatoes for different diseases, grains for smut, ' testing dairy cows, administering hog chol era serum, etc. In fact many things too numerous to mention here. When advisable the agent will aid in organizing farmers clubs, co-operative marketing societies, etc., and at all times to work in harmony and en courage the work of the Grange. Timely, articles will be printed ' in the local papers relating to various subjects, services of experts and spec ialists will be secured when they can be of assistance or helpful to the farmers. The agent will strive to work to the best interests of all farm ers and the ultimate object in view will be to increase the net income of the entire farm. Most of the agents time will be spent in the Held, asso ciating with the farmers. However, one or two days will be spent in the office each week and farmers are ur ged to visit at any time on office days. The agent of Union county "will have charge of the horticultural in spection and also act as sealer of weights and measures.
