Seammon of 209 Sherman street, Portland, was a victim of stom ach troubles. He tried many treat ments with but little promise of suc cessful results. At last he tried Mayr'a Wonderful Stomach Remedy and got quick relief. In ordering the remedy' after taking the firsts dose th wre: "I took the, sample treatment and fjjsard Gossard Corsets adapt themselves perfectly to the present demands of fashion. The change effected in the figure line when fitted to a Gossard corset will amaze you. Gossard corsets all have the long- skirts and you cannot detect the lower line of boning so carefully is it done. With the Gos sard there are no lines, except the beautiful natural lines of the figure. A complete line of models at from J3.50 to $8.50 always on hand. MRS. POBT. PATTISON. Corseticre. Foley Hotel Building SAIVi-0NaaS,eral and You'll Know the Joy of Living Portland, Jan. 29. (Special) It was reported today that Canadian swine were being brought forward to Paget sound packing houses. This had no effect whatever upon the trade in the North Portland yards, tops again commanding $8.10 here this morning. -'' There was only a small offering in the hog sheds for the day and these were quickly picked up at the former, extreme price. V Now that there has been a move ment of Canadian hogs as well as cat tle to tha Puget sound market, the trade here is taking stock of condi tions. . While the importations have hurt the cattle trade, the outlook is for continued good tone in the hog trade here. Canadian hogs can be sold at mar kets further east at better prices than they can possibly bring on the coast at this time, therefore it is not likely that much of a movement will come in this direction.- Livestock gener ally moves where the price 'is best, therefore there is little cause for alarm here. , ' CATTLE.
