If.. - ... , Dr. James Withcombe of Corvallis, spent Sunday in Union where he ! visited his son Robert Vho is at tho head of the Union experiment station, uelore leaving La Uranae the doctor had some flattering things-to say about the agricultural school. He . states that at the present time there are nearly 600 students at the school and that for the year the enrollment will be in excess of 3000. He also states that there is not a f :hool in all the United States that is ahead of the Oregon institution either in at tendance or in effective work. He re cently .spent some time in the east visiting all of the leading schools and declares that none of them have any better facilities . or a better course.
